Israeli born, Yaacov (Jack) Bar-Tor, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Process & Methods Engineering from the Technion Polytechnic School in Haifa Israel and Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons.) in Economics from the University Of Haifa in Israel. Yaacov continued in London School of Business (London University, Harrington Campus) and received his MBA and MSc degrees in Information Technology and Project Management in 1985 and 1987 respectively. In 1999 he gained CISA certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor from the Australian Chapter of Information Systems Audit & Control Australia (ISACA).

 

Yaacov grow up with the Information Technology (IT) industry from its early days and specialised over a period of 25 years in all stages associated with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), in particular, the phases of Project Management, Business Analysis, Testing and Quality Assurance using industry best practices, methodologies and concepts. Yaacov has written numerous ‘White Papers’, publications and is considered a Subject Matter Expert on the subjects of OO (RUP, IEM, Process MeNtOR, EEA, EA), Project Management (PMI, PRINCE), Software QA (ISO, CMM, W3C (CSS, DOM, XML, SOAP and others), Six Sigma, AUS/NZ ML-STD, CFR) and IT Audit.

 

Yaacov oversees the technical direction at Tescom APAC as well as training of newly recruited IT professionals.
